"All Done Crying"
by Trisha Verma
As a little kid, around 1 or 2, my mom used to put me in a corner of the house, whenever I started to cry. This became routine. After a while, whenever I felt like crying, I went and stood in the corner. My mom asked me after 2 or 3 minutes, "All done crying?" I would either say, "No" and keep crying, leaving my mom laughing, or I would say, "Yes, all done, and walk back to my mom. I continued to do this for another couple of months.

Missing Mom
by Trisha Verma
I used to cry whenever my mom used to leave for work. So, whenever she used to go, my Aaja(grandpa) and Aaji(grandma) would take me out for a walk behind my mom's car. We would walk around the block and when I got tired, I would want to sit down. But, I never walked forward and sat down, I would take a couple of steps back, and sit down on the curb. My grandpa and grandma would follow me and sit down too, and we would talk and look around. Then, we would head back home and by then, I would forget about my mom. This was the routine every single day.
